Bowling Green, Kentucky, is Geared for Fun

Bowling Green, Kentucky to Sponsor the 2016 Silver Daisy Boondoggle

April 12, 2016

Located just an hour north of Nashville, among the rolling green hills of South Central Kentucky’s Cave Country, Bowling Green offers visitors a wide variety of things to see and do. This August, Bowling Green will be hosting 60 Silver Daisy Macaroni Kid Publishers for a weekend geared for fun!

If you’re wondering exactly what there is to see and do in Bowling Green, wonder no longer. Home to the National Corvette Museum, a seven-mile cave system with a river running through it, and Beech Bend Amusement Park, there will be Corvettes, underground boat rides, and rollercoasters. The Silver Daisy Boondoggle is a time for Macaroni Kid Publishers to relax and explore new family-friendly locations
-- Bowling Green is the destination for all of that and more.

Over the course of three days, these hard working mama bears will experience a touchstone to Bowling Green’s past at Fountain Square, the community’s most endearing and enduring landmark. They’ll look into the future at the GM Corvette Assembly Plant where every Corvette in the the US is manufactured. Remember that 2014 sinkhole you heard about on the news that swallowed eight Corvettes? Yes, that event happened at The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green. Now you can learn all about it at the recently opened, brand new Corvette Cave-In: The Skydome Sinkhole Experience Exhibit.

Although Bowling Green may be well-known for the Corvettes, there is so much more to it and we’re not just talking for adults. This destination covers it all. From planes and trains to caves and trails, you’d be surprised how much you can do in Kentucky’s third-largest city. The 2016 Silver Daisies cannot wait to experience it all this August and sharing it all with our readers.

A big thanks to Bowling Green, Kentucky, for hosting and we'll see you soon!
