Where is Santa?

December 20, 2011

Santa will be stopping by at many wonderful travel destinations this holiday season.  So tell the kids not to fret, even if you decide to escape for a little family time, Santa will be sure to find you.

At the Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, parents can arrange for a personal visit from Santa Claus just before bedtime.  The big guy himself will share a bedtime story and deliver a present along with a tuck in.

Santa will be arriving at Halekulani on Waikiki has via outrigger canoe! As the sun sets on Christmas Eve, Santa will be greeted by a traditional children’s hula troupe. Guests both young and old will follow Santa into the hotel for an exclusive Children’s Party followed by an elegant guest reception for the ‘big kids.’

It seems Santa likes boats as much as sleighs!  He'll be arriving at the Hilton Maldives Iru Fushi & Spa, aboard a dhoni filled with presents!

He lives in the North Pole, so it's a fair bet that Santa can ski!  And Christmas day, you and your kids can ski with him at Moonlight Basin in Big Sky, Montana. When he's not carving up the slopes, he'll be hanging around Madison Village Base Area.  Better yet, kids under 10 ski free!

Santa is not the only one making an appearance at Dreams Resorts & Spas, Now Resorts and Sunscape Resorts -- the Grinch will also be there.  So, while Santa is joining guests for everything from Christmas parades to water aerobics classes, the Grinch will be making his usual mischief.

Santa on the Beach! Sandpearl is hosting Santa and Mrs. Clause both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in their lobby, next to the giant 16 foot sand sculpture of himself in a sleigh pulled by dolphins, including Winter the Dolphin.

On Christmas eve, families can snuggle around the fire pit for s’mores, cocoa and cider and listen to the music of live carolers at the Montage Laguna Beach.  Right after an elf reads ’Twas the Night Before Christmas at 7:00 pm, a twilight search will reveal Santa’s sleigh on the roof and, as the spotlight dims, Santa will magically appear on the hotel’s Ocean Lawn.
