Right this moment, my cousin Leslie is at Club Med Punta Cana with her husband and two children, four-year-old Jason and two-year-old Hannah. She's been emailing Macaroni Kid a review in realtime!

Day one - Saturday.
Arrived. Given a room in the back. First impression was horrible. But then we realized location was fine. View was of a garden. It’s a “family club room” which has a fabulous layout. Great walk in-closet housing a fridge and safe. Veranda off of main room which is where king bed and TV are. Small alcove room has 2 day-beds and a pack-n-play. French doors separated and worked great for privacy and quiet. Gave us a stroller, but it’s broken, waiting on another one. May change rooms as air conditioner is making a puddle on floor. But since we now prefer this room layout and location, they will try to fix first. Very accommodating front desk. They are at-capacity this week so not many free rooms to move us too. The suites are great if you feel like a splurge.
Food selection excellent for both kids and adults. Everything the kids could want, juice all the time, and soy milk, rice milk, etc. Microwave and blender in kid area makes it super easy to prepare food for the baby. The team at the mini club was so, so great, the kids love it there. Both kids are napping with the fantastic camp counselors right now!
Best thing about the resort is the beautiful setting. Great pool and palm trees line and ON an amazing, beautiful beach.
More to come tomorrow.
Day two - Sunday.
Still waiting on a new stroller. Dinner opens in one restaurant at 6:30 and the other at 6:45, which is a little late. But it’s fine, we’ve stashed some snacks in the fridge in our room in case the kids get hungry. Restaurants offer a very good selection. Everyone can find something. They change it up a bit.
Even though the Club is totally booked, it’s still spacious enough that you can find solitude.
Everything about this place is about accommodating the kids and is first-rate. Just pissed our room is a dud, though the layout and location are great.
Day three - Monday.
Still no working stroller. Kids love kids club. Jason was sick by dinner with a stomach issue and had to see a doctor at 9:00 pm. They have a nurse and a doc on-call 24 hours a day. Shot of antispasmodic and meds for bacteria. Doc was great. Nurse was great. You can come here and know kids are taken care of. Fully stocked meds as well as Pedialyte, etc.
Day four - Tuesday Morning.
Jason is feeling better and the doctor was terrific.
So, my overall impression? It is fun, fun, fun. Kids are happy. It's all about kids: if they are happy and well cared for, we are happy and can relax.
Kids are at the kids' club and I'm off to play tennis with Jonathan, catch you back in New York.
