Walt Disney World

So you’re planning a trip to Disney World! That’s so exciting! It can also be totally overwhelming. Not only is there a wealth of information, it seems like everyone you know has an opinion on what you simply MUST see and do. Perhaps you even went to Disney as a kid and are now looking forward to taking your own kids. You have big plans, you’re going to ride Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, you’re going to see the Indiana Jones show at Hollywood Studios, you’re going to ride the Safari at Animal Kingdom!

What are you going to do at Epcot? You may remember Epcot from when you were a kid as kinda boring and more adult-oriented and (GASP!) the most dreaded word to any kid on vacation EDUCATIONAL!! Allow me to assure you that this is not the Epcot of your youth.

Epcot has, and continues, to update its offerings and attractions to appeal to the whole family. Yes, Grandma and Grandpa will still enjoy strolling around world showcase. But now, your little princess can stroll right along with them to meet her favorite Disney Princess. Or your little dude can test his secret agent skills in Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure.

Epcot is a wonderful blend of science, technology, world culture and fun. Where else can you fly a rocket to Mars, or travel with Bill Nye the Science Guy to the Cretaceous period?  Always wanted to see California? Check out Soarin’ in the Land Pavilion, where you can take an aerial eco tour of the entire state of California in just 4 minutes!   Looking to meet the Disney Princess without an hour wait?  The lovely ladies are ready to meet and greet all day long in the World Showcase!  Looking to meet Mickey and the Gang?  Head over to the Character Spot where Mickey, Donald, Goofy, Pluto and Minnie are waiting with open arms.  Feeling like something different for dinner? How about Moroccan? Restaurant Marrakech offers a warm, inviting family atmosphere complete with show and the best kids menu (chicken fingers and fries anyone?) around.  Epcot has tons of fantastic things for families with kids of all ages to experience and enjoy.

Next time your headed to Walt Disney World, make sure you include a visit to Epcot, I promise you’ll be glad you did.
