When we think about grabbing the kids and taking off for time away in Southern California, we think about: beach access, swimming pools, theme parks and family friendly atmosphere without sacrificing service and elegance. The coastal chic Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina offers all of these things for families.

Just 2 miles from Sea World and steps from the beach, Hyatt Regency checked all of the boxes for a family getaway.  With help from the friendly staff we had a great time exploring the area, securing discount theme park tickets, and a much needed trip to The Blue Marble Spa for mom was just what the doctor ordered.  The Red Marlin Restaurant served up amazing food for the whole family with a wait staff that made us feel comfortable even with a picky 11 year old eater.  As the sun went down, we made our way to the beach with our s ‘mores ingredients and enjoyed a campfire just as the tide came in.

With a fresh Southern California feel, the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay takes advantage of San Diego’s coveted climate with spaces designed for fun.  Swimming pools complete with plush poolside cabanas, a jacuzzi, separate children’s pools and multiple water slides creat a resort-like oasis. 

Pleasing a family full of teens & tweens can be a tall order.  We couldn’t have asked for more from our stay at Hyatt Regency Mission Bay Spa & Marina.  We can’t wait for our next visit!
