Unplug and recharge!

Pack your cowboy hat and leave the gadgets behind!  There are no cellphones allowed, and you won’t find televisions, radios or wifi in your room either.  But with so much to do on the ranch and nearby, we promise you won’t miss them.

Located in Central Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains, and just about 3 hours from Boise, the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch is a great place to unplug and recharge your own batteries.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love what the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch has to offer. The beautiful and majestic Sawtooth Mountains provide miles of hiking, biking and horseback riding along the trails the Mountains are known for.  Many trails originate at the ranch and some trail rides offer opportunities for fishing in the Salmon River.  Children 6 and up are welcome to come along and, since no one is left out at Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch, pony rides can be arranged for younger cowboys and cowgirls.

Guests who wish to venture off of property can create an adventure of their own with the help of ranch staff.  Take advantage of white-water rafting trips, guided fishing outings, canoeing or windsurfing.  Or explore neighboring ghost towns, deserted after Gold Miners left the area about 100 years ago.

Unwind from your day of play with a dip in the natural hot springs pool (said to be very therapeutic) while you take in the view of the Sawtooth Mountains during the day and stargaze in the evening.

Family-owned, this ranch caters to every member of your family, even the junior-sized ones.  Kids will have a ball exploring the ranch, fishing, hiking, swimming, horseback riding and taking a spin in a paddle boat.  Three nights a week, kids can participate in front lawn games, crafts and story hour led by ranch staff during adult dinner hours.  Mom and dad, this means you can eat without having to cut anyone’s food but your own!  Later, enjoy some live music, provided at the ranch four nights a week, together as a family.
