Abaco Beach Resort - Enter to Win an Authentic Bahamas Experience

December 9, 2014
Looking out of my window right now, the snow is swirling down from the sky. It’s the first snow of the season here in NY. The fluffy white snow will pull down the last of the leaves on the trees, get tracked across my living room, stuck in the dogs' fur and cause the school bus to be late (or worse yet, cause a delayed opening tomorrow AM).

Yet in many places, right now, children are frolicking as warm water laps up on a gentle beach. Parents sip piña coladas and await their scheduled massages. Yes, as I watch the snow, someone is at Abaco Beach Resort and Boat Harbour Marina.

Just 165 miles from the Florida coast lie the Abaco islands. Home to the aforementioned Abaco Beach Resort, piña coladas, warm water, etc. It’s an authentic Bahamian experience that is all about being out on the water and introducing kids to new things. Great for winter or spring break and summer travel. Low key and easy... True island life.

One of the more unique offerings at Abaco Beach Resort is their “Bahama Buddies” program. Led by the resort activities team, this program offers visiting children a chance to learn about island life from a local “child ambassador”. The newly paired “buddies” spend the afternoon sharing authentic island activities such as arts & crafts, catching, cleaning and cooking fish, and more.
