My Favorite New Stroller for Travel

Summer Infant 3DFlip Convenience Stroller

By Lindsay Flagan April 14, 2015
Last month our family of five took our first trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL. For those of you that have already embarked on this childhood rite of passage, you know that you must show up at Disney World with a plan, and a contingency plan, and a backup contingency plan ... Someone has to think through the logistics of the day, and that someone was me – MOM!

I have three children – ages 6, 4, and 14 months. One of my biggest concerns while planning the trip was to make sure that we could keep the 14 month child as happy as possible. He was going to be our wild card. We didn’t want him overstimulated, yet we of course wanted him to have as much Disney fun as possible. We were open to wearing him, but he is getting bigger now, and folks – Florida is pretty hot.

Luckily a few weeks before our trip, I was given the opportunity to review a stroller! Not just any stroller, but the Summer Infant 3DFlip Convenience Stroller! Could this be the one thing that could potentially save our trip? Ladies and gentleman, having gone into Walt Disney World with three children and two adults, I can tell you it was!

The Summer Infant 3DFlip Convenience Stroller allows for the child to either face the parent with 4 different settings of recline, or face away from the parent and see all of the excitement with 4 different settings of recline. This was a game changer! We would start the day with him facing out, eager to see Mickey and Minnie. After a few hours (around his usual nap time), we could then take him out, quickly convert the stroller so he would be facing us (one handed even!), give him his milk, and he would usually be out in dream land within minutes. We could recline him all the way back, cover him with the canopy, and since the sides of the 3DFlip are pretty tall in this position, he was in his own little bubble – away from the craziness all around him.

The handle bars are also separated so they were perfect for hanging our park bag and any other bags that we picked up throughout the day. When it was time to call it quits, the Summer Infant 3DFlip Convenience Stroller was extremely easy to fold up and carry onto whatever tram, ferry, car, or bus was taking us back to our hotel.

The Summer Infant 3DFlip Convenience Stroller runs $129.99 (worth every penny!) and can be found at baby stores nationwide.
