Spring Skiing Time!

I have good news and bad news...the bad news, winter's not over. The good news...no great news is that means there's still skiing.

Spring skiing is some of the most fun you can have. Warm days, soft snow, less clothes, sun on your face...I'm a huge fan! In fact, we're taking the Macaroni Kid founding family out to Colorado in April!

Here are some fun events and highlights for this Spring!

At Vail Mountain in Colorado:

Extended Hours on the Mountain – March 28 - April 11, 2015
During the two week period from Saturday, March 28 through Saturday, April 11 at Vail Mountain adjusts operating hours to 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Beginning Sunday, April 12 for the final week of the season, operating hours will shift to 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Taste of Vail – April 8-11, 2015
The Taste of Vail will be held at several venues throughout North America's favorite ski resort. During the annual three-day event, upwards of 5,000 people are able to "taste the Vail Valley lifestyle" which showcases Vail's world-famous resort village set against dramatic mountain vistas. www.tasteofvail.com 
Spring Back To Vail – April 17-19, 2015
Join the biggest end-of-season bash in the Rocky Mountains this spring with Vail’s annual closing weekend party, www.vail.com/springback 

At Steamboat in Colorado:

Springalicious - April 1-12, 2015 
Steamboat's springtime tradition, Springalicous is the first two weeks in April and offers fun activities and events for the entire family. Including the hilarious Cardboard Classic on April 11th.

At Waterville Valley in New Hampshire:

Last Run Luau Pond Skimming & Duck Race - April 04, 2015
Bid Aloha to the ski season with a splash!  Pond skimming returns to Waterville Valley Resort on April 4, 2015 during the 3rd Annual Last Run Luau! Charity duck race at 12pm! Ducks will be available for purchase at registration and the winner will get a White Water Rafting Trip for 2!

At Stratton Mountain in Vermont:

Spring Fling and Annual Pond Skim Apr 11, 2015
It's time to enjoy spring’s soft snow, longer days and sunshine with a weekend of celebration and the Annual Pond Skim. Costumes are highly encouraged! Live music by DJ Joe Bell will rock the mountain as you slip and slide across the Pond.

At Copper Mountain in Colorado:

Colorado's Largest Easter Egg Hunt Sun April 5 2015
Copper’s Easter Egg Hunt has increased from 50,000 to 65,000 eggs! New this year, 15,000 eggs are plant-based biodegradable. As part of the reduce, reuse, recycle movement, Copper encourages participants to turn empty eggs back in to be re-loaded for reuse in future years. Hallmark will provide a small prize to the first 400 kids who recycle their eggs. There are different hunts for kids of all ages from 3 and under in Copper’s Center Village to adults in an on-mountain hunt to include the resort’s Sherpa app.

At Killington Mountain in Vermont:

NOR'BEASTER Easter Sunrise Service & Egg Hunt Sunday Apr 5, 2015
What better way to start off Easter Sunday than with the Sunrise Service? Then watch the kids as they search for treats left behind by our local Easter Bunny! Easter Sunrise Service is set to begin at 6:30 a.m. at the Killington Peak Lodge.  After the service, starting at 8:00 a.m. join us in and around the K-1 Base Lodge for an Easter Egg Hunt for all ages. At 9:00 a.m., a toddler-friendly Easter Egg Hunt will follow at the K-1 Base as well.
