| mommy marie | 03/13/2013 11:53 p.m. EST | As fun and wonderful as all the news items make each destination sound, I have to comment that I am a little turned off by one aspect of this Macaroni Kid Family Travel edition - nearly everything you cover sounds like a sales pitch for an expensive trip. They sound great but not realistic for many families today. I am at a point in my life that my family can afford many luxuries, including exotic and long trips, however, I have many friends and relatives with young children who cannot spend a lot of money. I have a suggestion: in at least one story per issue, consider including lower-cost travel ideas and options. You could provide some ideas to save a little money on big splurges in the other stories. I think you will expand your interested reader base and provide a service that MK promises to all families - happy, stimulated and exhausted kids (and parents). We all wnat our kids to be happy, even if the budget is small. Best wishes to all the MK writers and families! |

| Jennifer Chasse | 07/31/2012 9:54 a.m. EST | The FloydFest 4 day music festival ( Floyd, VA) was super family friendly and so organized. My kids did not want to leave the Childrens's Universe for 2 days! There was so much for kids to do and explore and try, and they all were having a blast. Every stage was filled with good music, and I highly recommend it to families, and will be back next year. |
