On our radar is the next big thing in water parks. And by big, we mean volcano big.
This spring, Universal Orlando is scheduled to open Volcano Bay, a brand new water theme park with 18 attractions ranging from daring to relaxing.
While they haven't yet revealed all of the new park details, highlights include the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Waturi Beach, water slides in all sizes, winding rivers, food, drink, family-sized cabanas and oodles more. The debut of new TapuTapu wearable technology will let guests wait in line virtually while they play in other areas of the park and access other special “tap-to-play” experiences throughout the park. Cool? We think so and we can't wait to learn more.
Also on our radar? The sleek and stylish Aventura Hotel, opening at Universal Orlando in the summer of 2018. This 16-story glass tower will offer 600 guest rooms, including 13 kids’ suites, at an affordable rate. Reservations will be accepted early this year.
