Get the Help You Need Planning Your Family Vacation

March 12, 2019

Who doesn’t love a family vacation? Fun times with the kids, maybe some alone time for you and your significant other, time away from chores and responsibilities. Sounds great, right? The vacation part does, but what about the planning?

Most busy moms don’t have time to add one more thing to their plate, but we want to make sure we are getting the best vacation that’s right for our family, all while getting the best deal. That’s where a travel agent comes in handy. Now, you might be saying to yourself, “Aren’t travel agents a thing of the past?” I’m here to tell you that they are back and better than ever.

Did you know the average vacation takes 5 hours to book? Who has an extra five hours to scour the internet looking for the perfect trip? I barely have time to go grocery shopping! Think of a travel agent as your own turbocharged search engine. They will research options on your behalf to ensure that your trip fits your specific needs so you are 100% satisfied. Plus, travel agents have been there and done that. It’s hard to book a trip to an island you’ve never been to, plus how do you know the difference between a sunset veranda, family veranda, or infinite veranda? It’s so easy to make a mistake when booking your own travel, I’d rather leave it to an expert.

Travel agents also save you money. Say what? You thought they cost money, right? Travel agents will find you the best price and value and most don’t cost you anything extra. Plus, they’re like your own personal shopper. They will work to get to know you and provide insider tips and recommendations tailored to your interests and needs. Need accommodations for a larger family? They got that. Your son has food allergies? No problem. Not sure how the kids club works on a cruise ship? They’ll explain it all to you. They also know the ins and outs of where to stay, what’s the perfect season, the best cruise ship cabins and even the best local restaurants that have something exotic for you and chicken nuggets for the kids.

Using a travel agent will take the guesswork out of your vacation planning process. Oh, and if you are a coupon-clipping, code-hunting mamma, you’ll love using a travel agent even more! By working with a travel agent, you’ll often get access to special offers and deals you won’t find anywhere else – even when you try to book directly with a resort or cruise line. Typically, you will be offered dollars to spend onboard a cruise or at a resort, pre-paid gratuities (which means your tips are covered onboard), airfare credits, free Wi-Fi, and so much more.

By using a travel agent, your perfect family vacation will unfold and you got a great deal, it didn’t cost you extra money, and you now have 5 extra hours in your life!
