On Our Radar: New Montana Retreat Takes Glamping to the Extreme

Green O scheduled to open in August

A new adults-only retreat in Montana is taking glamping to the extreme. And we can't wait to check it out.

The Green O, located in the mountains in the Blackfoot River Valley of western Montana, will offer exclusive experiences in 12 design-forward accommodations like the Tree Haus, illustrated above, which is elevated 15 feet in the air and features two stories of living space. Two separate terraces provide foliage-level views of the surrounding wilderness, and guests can enjoy watching the stars in a hot tub. Or choose the Green Haus, described as part woodland bunker and part modern museum, featuring a living roof—a garden exploding with native grasses.

No matter which "Haus" you choose, all come with floor-to-ceiling windows offering unobstructed views of the Montana wilderness.

At the center of the Green O will be the Social Haus, a freestanding private restaurant including a lounge area, a dining area, an open kitchen concept, and panoramic views of the unspoiled forest. The kitchen will serve small, shareable plates focused around creative and healthy ingredients and include a rich variety of seasonal favorites.

That's not all though: Guests will receive their own private Lexus vehicle to explore the 37,000 acre property, and also have a chance to participate in more than 50 activities from ATV tours and horseback riding, to forest bathing and spa treatments.

The Green O is scheduled to open August 1, and it's safe to say we're already dreaming of this idyllic getaway in the woods.
